The Spin Zone

Faux News bloviator Bill O'Reilly declares his show is a "no-spin zone".  He can say what he wants, but the truth is, Faux puts plenty of spin on events that don't fit its neoconservative worldview.  Like this article on the Ron Paul campaign.  Here's a few tidbits:

#1).  "Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul is already looking past the South Carolina primary with plans to make the most of a few states that could be more receptive to his libertarian, Internet-driven message."

Of course Paul is looking past South Carolina, you idiots, because South Carolina is voting today.  Every other candidate is looking past South Carolina, too.  And what the heck is "Internet-driven"?  Paul doesn't make personal appearances?  He doesn't have boots on the ground?  Other candidates don't have an Internet presence?

#2).  "Paul had a limited presence in South Carolina compared to weeks of heavy face-to-face campaigning in Iowa, where he placed third behind Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney, and in New Hampshire, where he came in second to Romney."

Paul's third-place in the popular vote count resulted in winning the same amount of delegates as Santorum and Romney, therefore he essentially tied for first.

#3).  "He even left the state for a full day Wednesday to fly back to Washington to cast a symbolic vote against raising the debt ceiling."

That crazy doctor!  He actually did his job!  And unlike the other Republican empty suits, he actually voted against further debt!  What, is he some kind of fiscal conservative or something?  Here Faux News tries to suggest that campaigning isn't important to Dr. Paul -- maybe he doesn't really want to be president.

Can't wait to see the next 'fair and balanced' Faux headline!
